IDM – The Best and Free Download Manager
Posted in : Download Manager | Tagged in: Free Download Manager
Do you surf the Internet regularly? Do you need files or folders to download from the Internet most of the time? If both the answers are positive then this post is for you. In order to download the files from the Internet you can use the default download manager of your browser (it can be Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, or Mozilla Firefox etc.) Almost all the web browsers have their built-in download managers. But those tools will not fulfill your requirements. Some of them have no resume option. Some of them download files from the Internet in slow speed. So you should get rid of those painful tools. But what download manager will you use instead? It’s an important question. There are many download managers in the Internet. Some are free of cost and some are paid software.
From my experience, I can say that Internet Download Manager is the best in this case. It is a free download manager. It has the highest speed among all its contestants. You will get the best performance of IDM if you use it with Firefox browser because Mozilla Firefox has add-on of IDM. I am trying to focus on some advantages of IDM below:
1. Suppose you are watching a video tutorial through the Internet. If you want to download that video, you will not get any link to download. In this case, IDM will help you to get the download link automatically. A download bar will come in the top side of the video window providing the video download URL. Just click on that bar. Your download will automatically start. (Here you will have to remember a thing. Use Firefox 3.6 version. If you use Firefox 4 or higher, then you might not get this facility. Google Chrome can also cause this problem. But Internet Explorer will become with you here.)
2. Suppose you are downloading any file that has no resume support. If you stop the process of downloading for any reason then you will fall into a problem with the default download manager of your browser. You may have to redo your task. But if you have IDM then you can resume that file from that place where it was paused. You will have to copy the download link, go to the properties option of that stopped file and paste that address into the address bar. Then click on the option named “Resume”. The download process will start again.
3. Due to the grabber facility, you can download audio, video, text etc. from any website with just one click with IDM.
4. If you install any new web browser into your computer then that will be connected with IDM automatically. You can edit the list of your downloaded file.
5. Internet Download Manager will automatically check for computer virus before downloading any file.
